How to Restart Your Apple Watch in 3 Easy Steps

By | October 23, 2022

With Apple Watch, you don’t have to worry about restarting your watch every time it freezes or crashes. Just follow these three easy steps and you’re good to go!

Step 1: Go Home

With your finger, swipe up from the bottom of your watch’s screen. If you’re on an iPhone or iPad, double-tap with two fingers on your watch face and then swipe up. This will take you back to your watch’s home screen.

Step 2: Press and Hold Digital Crown

The Digital Crown, located on your watch’s right side, acts as a Home button when pressed and held. When you press and hold it, your device will restart itself. Don’t worry if you need to restart and don’t have your iPhone with you; if so, simply press and hold both sides of the Digital Crown until your Apple Watch restarts.

Step 3: Force Quit your app

Force-quitting an app is a drastic move, but if your watch is freezing up or otherwise misbehaving, it’s worth a try. To force-quit an app on your Apple Watch, go into General>Force Quit and choose from apps listed there.

And viola! Your Apple Watch gets restarted!!
